The terms and conditions stated below will apply to your placement with P.A.W.S. Please read them carefully as you will be bound by them. You contract is between the company P.A.W.S. (People & Wildlife Solutions) and the Team Member, being the person intending to join the project operated by the company P.A.W.S.

1. Team Members applying for a placement must complete an application form and accept the terms of these booking conditions. You are required to pay a deposit of 50% of the total cost at the time of booking and the outstanding 50% of the booking cost 10 weeks prior to your departure. If these monies are not received in accordance with the above we retain the right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.
2. You booking is accepted on the understanding that you realise the hazards involved in your placement, including injury, disease, and loss or damage of property. Any medical conditions or health issues you have must be detailed on your application form.
3. It is the responsibility of each team member to ensure that they have a valid passport with at least 6 months beyond your expected departure date and hold any applicable visas at the time of travel. It is the responsibility of each team member to ensure that they are in possession of all appropriate health documents and vaccination certificates for their entire journey.
4. It is a compulsory condition for all team members to have valid travel insurance for their trip with adequate cover for all placement activities and must include evacuation and repatriation.
5. All team members agree to accept the authority and decisions of the PAWS team leaders/staff for their duration on the project. If in the opinion of the PAWS staff the health, level of fitness or conduct of the team member is likely to endanger the safe, comfortable or happy progress of the project then the team member may be excluded from all or part of the project without refund or recompense. If the team member commits an illegal act then PAWS will cease to have responsibility for them.
6. You may cancel your placement at any time providing that the cancellation is communicated to us in writing, cancellation charges will be made from the day of your written notification:

   Cancellation charges as follows:
   Notified 70 days or more prior to departure - No cancellation charge
   Notified 69 - 56 days prior departure - 40% of total price
   Notified 55 - 29 days prior to departure - 60% of total price
   Notified 28 - 15 days prior to departure - 80% of total price
   Notified 14 - 0 days prior to departure - 100% of total price

   NB : For any monies transferred back to a team member, £25 (UK pounds sterling) will be deducted from
   the transferred amount to cover all administration and bank transfer costs.

7. In the unlikely event that we have to make any changes to your booking, then we reserve the right to do so at any time. Should we need to modify your placement due to local prevailing conditions we will offer you an agreed alternative date.Please note that compensation will not be payable if we are forced to cancel or in any way change your holiday/placement due to natural disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity or other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
8. If you decide to change your travel arrangement whilst abroad then it is your responsibility for any additional costs involved and difficulties that may arise from onward travel. No refund is possible for any unused services provided in the cost of the holiday.
9. P.A.W.S. reserves the right to make any changes that may be necessary to the particulars detailed within all Paws Information including our website. It cannot be guaranteed and may be affected by public holidays or religious festivals etc.
